Terms of service
Last updated: 2 August 2026
These terms govern use of LifeCharter, a financial planning workspace for licensed financial advisers, provided at lifecharter.sg (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
The service
LifeCharter is software that helps advisers prepare, present and follow through on financial planning conversations. It is a tool for advisers: LifeCharter itself does not provide financial advice, does not recommend products and is not a financial advisory firm. Advice given to clients remains the responsibility of the adviser and their firm.
Projections are estimates
Plan projections, readiness figures and similar outputs are estimates built from the inputs provided and stated assumptions. They are not guarantees of future performance and should not be presented as such.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Access may be through a practice or director group; owners of a practice control membership and roles.
Client information
Advisers who record information about prospects and clients confirm that they are entitled to hold and use that information, including any consent required under the Personal Data Protection Act, and that they will keep it accurate. LifeCharter processes this information on the adviser’s behalf as described in the privacy policy.
Connected services
Optional connections to third party services (such as Google Calendar, Telegram or WhatsApp) are subject to those services’ own terms. You may disconnect them at any time in settings. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third party services.
Acceptable use
- No use that breaks the law or the regulations that apply to your advisory work.
- No attempts to breach, probe or overload the service or access others’ data.
- No reselling or providing the service to third parties without our agreement.
Intellectual property
LifeCharter and its software remain our property. Content that advisers enter remains theirs; we use it only to provide the service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may improve or change features over time, and will take care with changes that affect stored work.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for claims connected to the service is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans are billed per adviser and shown excluding GST, which is added at checkout where it applies. Monthly plans are billed by card and renew automatically each month. Annual plans are billed once a year, by card or PayNow, and renew automatically at the end of each paid year unless cancelled. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; the plan remains active for the rest of the period already paid for, and we do not give partial refunds for the unused part of a period.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, with notice where practical. On closure, the privacy policy’s retention and deletion terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
